I founded John Baker Communications in 1996 and have spent more than four decades working as a journalist, PR consultant and communications advisor.

Over the years I’ve worked with national media, regional newspapers, trade magazines, local authorities, SMEs, property developers, construction and house building companies, professionals, charities, heritage organisations, colleges, universities and community groups – always with the same goal: to help people communicate better.

My background includes senior roles in journalism, award-winning PR work, and strategic consultancy for businesses undergoing transformation. I’ve advised development companies, technology firms, arts organisations, tourism and hospitality businesses, and public bodies across the South West.
